Abstract

The cycloaddition reaction of benzonitrile and sodium azide in the presence of acidic nano magnetic (Fe3O4@SiO2-SO3H) has been successfully used in this study to produce biological active tetrazoles. It is possible to directly synthesize tetrazole derivatives under benign conditions by using a magnetically reusable acidic catalyst, which also facilitates easy and eco-friendly conversion. A wider range of applications with quick reaction times and good to exceptional yields are made possible by the designed acidic catalytic system. Simple magnetic separation utilizing an external magnet allowed for the straightway recovery of Fe3O4@SiO2-SO3H.
