Research on synthesis of heterocyclic structures using ZnO NPs as catalyst

Abstract

Catalysis plays an increasingly crucial role in chemical processes and widely used at the heart of innumerable chemical methodologies from scientific research in academic laboratories to an economical research in industrial laboratories. ZnO is an important semiconductor material and has been used widely as catalyst in organic synthesis. In recent times, the application of ZnO as catalyst for the synthesis of organic compounds and heterocyclic molecules has been reported in the literature. Now, in this review, we focused on the catalytic activity of ZnO in synthesis of heterocyclic structures with the goal of stimulating further progresses in this field.
